In this workshop we will be exploring the benefits of life writing for the individual and the power of storytelling in community. Through evocative writing exercises, you will experiment, play, and transcribe your thoughts, feelings, and memories. What makes you, you? Is it your spirituality, or a phenomenon in the sky, or a marathon run? A new love or an old love? A childhood memory, or parenthood, or a coastal European country?
Forget what you should write for someone else. What do you need to write for you? This session will inspire you to explore your creativity and authenticity as a person. A healthy writing purge is an effective way to stay present, gain confidence, find perspective — even process and heal. Author, PhD, and founder of Own Your Life Writing, Becky will offer expert guidance and support on how to begin exploring your own life story and translating it onto the page.
